The XM-5000Li Lithium Electric Moped is one of our newest additions for 2009!
New for 2009, the XM-5000Li is a powerful, high-quality street-legal electric moped / motorcycle< powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and a rear-hub 5kW motor.
The XM-5000Li is fast and powerful, capable of speeds of up to 60mph with a range of 80+ miles. The battery life of the advanced lithium-ion battery pack is 7-10 years with an average of 2000 recharge cycles, with proper battery care.
The XM-5000Li is about the same size as the XM-3500Li and weighs roughly the same, but has about 25% more torque. The battery pack is stored low in the moped to keep the
center of gravity low to the ground. This gives the driver more stability and control.
The built-in automatic transmission gives the 5000Li a top speed of about 60 mph - we have personally tested this moped to these speeds.
This moped is capable of traveling up to 85 miles on a single charge and therefore does not need to be re-charged daily if the bike is not going to exceed it's maximum range.
The XM-5000Li is a DOT certified Motor Vehicle. This is Not A Toy Scooter. It is likely you will need a drivers or motorcycles license to operate this bike. Consult your local DMV for more details.
Each XM-5000Li includes a VIN and MCO certificate that you can take to your local DMV office in exchange for a Title (Pink Slip) and License Plate / Registration.
This item ships by a trucking company. Shipping is free as long as you pick it up at your nearest terminal. Alternatively you can choose delivery to your door for $50. If you do not live in a major city, or close to a terminal, we suggest you pay the $50 to have it delivered directly to your residence.
